Pinterest – Get Established
Pinterest is continuing to develop and gather new followers. According to Media Bisto, there are 70 million active users, 68% of whom are female and the largest opportunities for development are female focused. (Am I allowed to say that today?)
The focus seems to be around home décor, babies, recipes, weddings, travel, photography, design and fashion, and according to Media Bistro, the site is all about discovery.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind while establishing your Pinterest presence:
- Profile – use your logo and taglines. Make it noticeable and eye-catching.
- Boards – creative a variety of boards and personalize them to showcase your brand personality and taste.
- Pin – like our other recommendations, start slow, try to be consistent and put up some solid, relevant content.
- Create a community – engage, pin, follow others, repin, and comment with followers and those who are relevant to your brand.
- Organize boards and pins – use feeds and be relevant.
- Use high-quality images and content.
- Add the “PIN” button to your website.
- Learn from other pinners and highlight your most popular pins.
There is a great business section of Pinterest you should be able to find everything you need to get started and get your Pinterest “ON”. We guess you’ll be able to get yourself established quickly and easily.
