Engage Fans – Facebook
Facebook Engagement
I came across an article titled Top 10 ways to engage fans on Facebook, produced by Buddy Media. Buddy Media states that they provide a Facebook management system for seven of the world’s top 10 advertisers. I was interested in what they call their Power Tools for Facebook and measuring Facebook engagement.
Buddy Media notes correctly that Facebook is a TWO-WAY Communications Channel your page should focus on maintaining a conversation with your fans. They say it’s called social for a reason…
Here are their top ten Facebook engagement tips:
- Content is king – we feel content is #1 as well
- Leverage your assets – engage in areas that fans can relate
- Fans only offers – engages your fan base and encourages others to like as well
- Keep it fresh – social media is dynamic, updated content is a must
- Contests, sweepstakes & promotions – keep your fans engaged
- Comments and conversation – encourage, they are one and the same
- Let users guide content – prompt and ask for direction
- Set engagement goals – and let your fans know what they are
- Start conversations – you can do this by asking questions
- Publish or perish – it’s imperative to keep posting, and keep fans engaged
If you’ve been following my blog posts, you’ll note many of the same things are covered here.
As your digital agency, we recommend that you get started. Our top recommendations are Content and Engagement without those you’re not social and after all this is what Facebook is about, both personally and corporately.
