Since its launch back in 2010, Instagram has taken the icing on the cake in terms of engagement and growth, making it seem like everyone and their cat are now on the platform. Instagram has continued to be the lead for sharing photos and videos with more than 500 million users active every day, giving marketers plenty of opportunities for business. As it continues to build unprecedented engagement levels, it provides marketers the opportunity to engage directing with consumers using traditional marketing tactics such as;

Transitioning your basic profile to a Business profile gives followers an opportunity to contact you just by clicking a button. A business profile also allows you to create and publish ads, and grants access to analytics tools that provide stats, impressions and reach on your posts and stories. It has been found that 80% of users follow a business page.

Brands that want to target their audience directly can do so through Instagram ads. The app sneakily camouflages these posts into user timelines as they’re scrolling, which usually tend to be very appealing to the target demographic. For marketers not leveraging Instagram currently or infrequently, I highly recommend you and your social team get serious about Instagram, the number of active users interacting with brands makes Instagram a must leverage social tactic for every firm.
