Website – Corporate Goals
Corporate Goals for your Website
We’ve been asked again and again, what should our website goal be? Since the change (yup that word again), your website must be more than brochureware. The answer is relatively simple. In most cases, if you are selling something, and we are all selling something, then the primary goal of your website is to ensure you SELL your product or service.
Here is a short list of areas that you must consider for your website in terms of corporate goals:
- Increase Online Sales
- Add a sales channel or cross channel sales
- Increase Offline Sales
- Make the products/services easier to locate
- Provide information, incentives or offers to support sales
- Build customer retention
- Build email capture program
- Decrease Costs
- Provide additional service, support
As your digital agency, we recommend that your website needs to interact with your customers. It must either increase sales and or decrease costs while at the same time promote your brand. Naturally, your website has to have an easy to use and clean interface.
Your website goals need to meet your corporate goals, which in almost all cases is about selling something. As such your website needs to sell, sell, sell!
